Dr. Roy completed M.B.B.S from North Bengal Medical College and obtained MS (Ophthalmology) from prestigious Indian army institute, Command Hospital, Kolkata. He was awarded Fellow of International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO) in 2018. He joined vitreo retinal research cum clinical fellowship at the prestigious Sankara Nethralaya, Medical Research Foundation, Chennai. On completion he joined as a senior resident in the department of vitreoretinal services in Sankara Nethralaya, Kolkata.
