About Dr. Krishna Kanta Roy

A Doctor is also a human, brought up among others. What makes them stand out is not just there education or knowledge, but their dedication towards human wellbeing, which brings in them inert empathy and sensitivity towards others. 

Born in a very humble livelihood, Dr. Krishna Kanta took the path towards eye care so that he could restore sight and serve the masses, provide world class retina care irrespective of one's socio-economic belongings.

An Alumni of Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, currently he is working appointed as Head Of Vitreo Retina Department at Dvita Eye Care. Dr. Roy completed his M.B.B.S from North Bengal Medical College and obtained MS (Ophthalmology) from prestigious Indian army institute, Command Hospital, Kolkata.

 

He was awarded Fellow of International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO) in 2018 and joined vitreo retinal research cum clinical fellowship at the prestigious Sankara Nethralaya, Medical Research Foundation, Chennai, after which he continued as a senior resident in the department of vitreoretinal services in Sankara Nethralaya, before returning back to bengal in 2020.
